Good morning all!  We had a lovely weekend here and I hope you did too.  All of my children were home for the weekend, what a rare treat!  I managed to make a card to play along with the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challeng e this week.  The challenge is to use distressing or sponging on your project.  I thought that was the perfect opportunity to give you all a little sneak peek of one of the Our Daily Bread Designs set "From Me to You" which will be released June 1st.  Isn't this a fabulous image?  Fuchsias are one of my favorite flowers and nearly every year have several baskets of them hanging from my porch.  So what do you think? stamping in time with Betty, sketch...

Image
Once again I am privileged to be able to make a sample for the Stamping in Time challenge with Betty Wright.  Her guest host this week is Silke Ledlow and she is challenging us with a sketch you will find below.  It is a high and low card or tall and thin.  Your choice!  However, it is not an A2 card or a square card sketch.  Good luck and have fun with it.  I couldn't quite manage to make my card as long and tall as I would have like due to lack of way to cut an oval as long as I would have liked.  Guess what just got added my Nesties' wish list, ya you guessed right, the long oval.  This is a great sketch to highlight a piece of scripture with so I chose to use this verse from Our Daily Bread Designs Scripture Collection 2 . our sketch Betty Silke Grace Sabrina Angie Fran Debi Kathy Randi Lorelie Connie What I used: Our Daily Bread Designs Scripture Collection 2 SU soft suede, baja breeze, kraft card stock BoBunny designer paper Versafine black Tim Holtz b

I actually found some time for a bit of stamping.  After cruising through all the fabulous challenges online for this week I decide to combine todays SplitCoastStampers sketch challenge with the Color Throwdown.  This weeks sketch was a fairly simple one, and I thought that this image from Our Daily Bread Designs would be well suited for it, combined with the colors; Baja Breeze, Melon Mambo and Pink Pirouette.  What do you think? Good morning all!  Hoping for a lovely warm Sunday here today after last weeks snow and crazy weather.  And since it is Sunday, it is time for another Anyone for Anya? challenge .  This weeks challenge is to not be square.  I am not very good at fancy fold cards so I went for a long card on this one, a very long card, it will fit in a #10 business envelope.  Why don't you play along? our sponsor this week Make sure you pop over to the  team blog  and play along with us. hands...

Hello all.  Sorry for the going so long between posts.  I actually have a whole pile of stuff here on my desk to share with you but I just hadn't been able to post.  So I will try to make up for it in the next couple of day. I made this card for the Christian Paper Crafts Bible Verse challenge .  The challenge this week is hands and I just happen to have the perfect image that was sitting here waiting ever so patiently for me to pull out, ODBD's "God's Hands" .  The sepia colors for this card were inspired by the 7 Gypsies designer paper that I chose to use.  I love the warm glowing colors of the paper with the touches of black. What I used: Our Daily Bread Designs God's Hands SU really rust, basic black, very vanilla card stock 7 Gypsies gypsy market designer paper 6x6 pad SU chocolate chip classic, Tim Holtz vintage photo and brushed corduroy Tim Holtz Alterations; Scrollwork Queen & Co chocolate delight pearls SU wide black grosgrain ribbon

a little something something...

Good morning all.  It is time for another Stamping in Time with Betty Challenge .  Once again I am privileged to be able to make a sample for the challenge.  This weeks challenge is another assignment challenge, we are to use any Our Daily Bread Designs stamps and "A Little Something Something" .   We are to use something "old", something "new" and something "received".  Other stuff can be used too of course but you need to tell us about these three!   For my something "old" I dragged out some very, very old Stampin' Up! organdy ribbon and some old favorite colors of card stock Night of Navy and Certainly Celery.  I teamed them up with some "new" 7 Gypsies designer paper (well new to me anyway, I just picked it up a couple of weeks ago) and the May new release from ODBD For the Graduate.  My something "received" is this lovely little charm that was gifted to me by my sweet design team friend America . May Day Our Daily Bread Designs blog hop...

Image
Good morning all.  Welcome to the May Day Our Daily Bread Designs blog hop .  If you arrived here from Randi's blog A New Creation then you are in the right place.  If you just popped in from somewhere else you may want to go to the Our Daily Bread Designs blog to start at the beginning.  Grace has all the rules posted there, which you need to know and besides you don't want to miss any of the good stuff everyone has posted.  The hop will last from May 1st through the 3rd at 8:00 PM EST.   In New England it used to be a custom that on May first, people would make "May Baskets" for neighbors and friends, filling them with flowers or other little gifts, and then go hang them on their doorknob, knock or ring the bell, and run and hide until they had found their basket. It was such a fun "giving" tradition! Some still carry on this tradition, and others are trying to revive it. So for our hop, we are going to collect flowers from each designer to fill our May b
