Elzybell challenge time again...

Image
It's time again for another Elzybell Design Team challenge. Todays challenge is to use Polka Dots . And guess what? I totally forgot about it until this morning. I usually do them days or weeks ahead of time. Anyway I decided that it would be a good thing to combine the Elzybell Polka dot challenge with todays Ways to Use it challenge; Stuck on You . The way to use it challenge was to use stickers. I had to search high and low to find one. I finally found one in my oldest daughters scrapbook stuff. I hardly ever use them so I had gotten rid of most of my collection. What I used: Elzybell Art Stamps from me to ewe Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze card stock, water color paper My Mind's Eye designer paper Black Stazon Basic Grey, Going Grey, Baja Breeze, Mellow Moss, Riding Hood Red, Summer Sun classic stamp pads sponge, aquapainter Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon

Elzybell March release sneak peek #4

Today is the day of Elzybells March release. I made this cute little treat box using Lauren Meader's pattern . She made these for valentines and I have been meaning to make one ever since I first saw it. I thought the little tags from Elizabeth's Mini Tag set would work well with it. I used vellum to make my box but you could make it out of acetate like Lauren did. The box holds about a dozen dove (dark, yummy) chocolates. Here is sneak peek #3 of the March Elzybell new releases. I used "Spring Cubes" on this one as well. The card is 4x4 inches square. I colored the main image with Prisma color pencils and blended the colors with mineral spirits. The ribbon scrap is attached with a common staple. Elzybell March release sneak peek #2

Are you ready for another sneak peek? This card uses the soon to be released set "Spring Cubes". I used three different stamps to make the main image. The flower in a cube stamp has the words "for you" and "mother" added on each side. I paper pieced the image. The bee, flower and leaves were all stamped on separate scraps of card stock then cut out and added to the image stamped in black on whisper white. The layout is from Wednesday sketch challenge on SplitCoastStampers. It's that time again, time for some Elzybell sneak peeks! This little purse was inspired by Mondays SplitCoastStampers Learn a New Technique challenge, the idea for which came from Julie Buhler's cute little valentine treat purse. I tweaked the design a little bit to make it fit what I wanted to do. Here is the cute little purse I made... This is what it looks like when you open it... And here are the nine little 3"x3" cards I made to go inside of it. Are they stinkin' cute or what??? I used two of the new sets that will be released on Monday to make these. The tag on the front of the purse is made with the "Mini Tag" stamp set and the 9 little cards are made using the "Mini Messages - Little Hello" set. Both sets are fabulous but I do have to say that the Little Hello set is my absolute fav of the March releases. The set is huge, the nine little images and each image has two phrases to go with it. As soon as I saw it I knew that I wan

finally caught up...

Image
I am finally caught up. All my sneak peeks for this weekend are done, can barely wait until tomorrow to start showing you the fun stuff I have made with the Elzybell March releases. Make sure you check back tomorrow and all weekend long to see what I have been making instead of posting. Since my sneak peeks were all done I had a little spare time today so I played around with a couple of the SplitCoastStampers challenges. I used Wednesdays sketch challenge , though I flipped it and todays challenge to stamp green . The interpretation of green was left up to us. I did the obvious and used kiwi kiss for my green but I also used scraps from a card I made for this weekend. Using scraps is stamping green in my book. What I used: Elzybells Art Stamps teddy flowers Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip card stock water color paper My Mind's Eye designer paper WWC and aquapainter ribbon ($ bin at Michaels)

I'm back...

Got home from Florida on Wednesday night. Finally getting caught up. Not that the hubby doesn't do a good job, because he does but I still had a ton of grocery shopping and laundry to do. Still feeling refreshed from my vacation and I managed to not gain any weigh either, thanks to daily walks. Working on a ton of creative projects at the moments. Elzybells have another sneak peek weekend coming up, followed by some new releases on Monday. I am elbows deep in my Artisan Award projects as well as some other stuff I am working on to send off for some pub calls. Hope to have time to post some new stuff tomorrow. AmyB you asked about Sanibel Island and if I had any recommendations. My first visit to the island was before hurricane Charlie and the island has changed considerably since then. The main drag, Periwinkle Place, is no longer tree lined. All the trees came down or were removed after the storm. My friends house used to be located in a jungle and they lost 3/4 of thei
