ODBD time with me...

Good morning all.  I am sorry I have been MIA.  I had an accident and ended up with a concussion, making computer time and creative time at first forbidden then just painful and exhausting.  I am slowly creeping my way back to normal now and found a bit of time to create over the last couple of days.

I made this little piece of framed art for my "Time with" post for the Our Daily Bread Designs blog.  If you would like all the details on the project please pop over to THIS post.

ODBD 4th Anniversary blog hop

Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs 4th Anniversary Special Design Team Edition Release Blog Hop!  If you got here from Grace's Blog, you are in the right place!  If not, you might want to start at the ODBD Blog so you are sure to not miss anyone!  If any links are lost along the way, you can always get the entire list of links from the ODBD Blog as well!

The bread sticks are so excited to be celebrating this special milestone in the life of ODBD!  It is such a blessing to work for a company that brings glory to God in every stamp set created, and offers us the tools we need to do the same with every card we create!  If you are a long term follower of ODBD, then you know that each year, the Design Team submits a favorite Scripture for the special anniversary sets, and those suggestions have been the sum total of all the "Scripture Collection" stamp sets in the store.  This year, the special sets include our favorite Scriptures, but also quotes and sentiments that we feel would be great on cards or  projects.  I think you will find some of the most encouraging and uplifting words available in stamps in these special anniversary sets!

So now, here are the Details of the Anniversary Hop:

  • The Hop will run 8am EDT Mar. 17 until 8pm EDT Mar 18.
  • The winners will be announced on the ODBD Blog on Mar 19.
  • Four  hoppers will win a FREE ANNIVERSARY SET and One blessed hopper will win The Complete Anniversary  Bread Basket Bundle!!!
Here is what you have to do to be qualified to win one of these prizes:

  • Hop to each designer’s blog and leave a comment
  • Return to the Our Daily Bread designs blog and leave a comment telling us that you completed the hop, making note if there were any you could not comment on.
  • Along with your statement that you completed the hop, leave some Anniversary wishes for Kelley and the gang at ODBD!
For my card I use Scripture Collection 9 which is where my verse for this year can be found.  I really just wanted the scripture to be the focus of the card so I just went with simple; some pretty paper and a couple of simple embellishments.  I did drag out one of my new Spellbinders dies to make a frame for my verse, I had to cut it down to fit but it was just to pretty to not use.
Now head on over to visit my friend
What I used:
SU very vanilla, early espresso, purely pomegranate
Versafine black, Ranger antique linen
sponge, clear embossing powder, cross charm
SU ribbon, brads
Spellbinders and Grand Calibur

Our Daily Bread Designs Anniversary Flower Hunt Game

We each have created a special card or project using at least one of our own personal ALL TIME FAVORITE ODBD sets. SIX of us will also have a special blog button with a special flower on it! (It will be labeled as a Designer's Flower Hunt Game, and will give the name of a flower.) Look for it in the designer's side bars of their blogs.

To play the game:
  • Visit each designer listed below
  • Keep a list of each designer who has a special flower blog button.  Write down the designer's name and the name of the flower they have.
  • When you have visited all 12, left comments and found the 6 flowers, send an email to Grace atgnywening@yahoo.com.  Simply name the 6 designers who had the flowers and the flower they had.
  • Winners will be chosen randomly from all who email me with their list by 9:00pm DST Mar. 15th!
Grace asked us to list our FOUR ALL TIME FAVORITE ODBD sets, and to use at least one on our project today.  How can I possibly just choose 4?  Well.... if I have to, here are my four favorites:  Serve the Lord because of the wonderful lace edges.   Randi's Song for a favorite verse and in honor of our beloved Randi.   On Eagles Wings because 40:31 is my middle son's life verse and Keep My Lamp Burning would be my all time favorite and one of my first purchases from Our Daily Bread Designs.  I used it today for my project.  I love to sponge and mask with this set which I find is a super quick and easy way to add color to any project.  The image and verses in this set are so powerful that you need very little embellishment to make a fantastic card.
Now, I'll send you on your way.  Here are the dozen bread sticks in the bread basket today:

papertake weekly anything goes...

Good morning all!  I hope you all had a good weekend.  We are swinging back and forth between winter and what feels like spring here.  Wish I could feel confident that spring was actually here but living in central New York for most of my life I know better.  Still can not get over the whole shopping in a sweatshirt one day and shoveling snow the next, thing but that is how life is around here.

I have a new set today to share with you, Faithful Friend from Our Daily Bread Designs, that makes me think of (and long for) hot summer days with the dragon flies buzzing over the pond across the street from me.  I could not even begin to capture their amazing colors but I gave it my best shot and then added a bit of sparkle.  I made this one for this weeks Papertake Weekly challenge.  This week we challenge you to a "anything goes" challenge with the extra added option of shirk plastic.  Now believe it or not shrink plastic is something I actually do not have in my stash, GASP, shocking I know!
