from the beach...

Just a quick update from the beach. Beautiful day here on Sanibel Island. Was up at dawn and walked about 3 miles, still a little cool but way, way warmer then home. Spent most of the day hanging out at the pool finishing up the book "the Shack". Absolutely fabulous must read book. Played some rummy this afternoon then eucher this evening. A couple of glasses of wine and a massage, life is good!

vacation...

Heading out for some much needed rest and relaxation in sunny Florida. No hubby, no kids, just fun and sun with my girlfriends. Will post some new stuff when I get back. Sending sunny smiles your way...

thoughts and prayers

Image
I did this card for todays Ways to Use it Challenge; Stripes over on SplitCoastStampers. When I started the card I had a scrap of striped designer paper in my hand but I can't for the life of me figure out what I did with it (I will probably find it in the fridge or some such place later, having all the kids home and half the neighborhood here for mid-winter break isn't helping, obviously) so instead of starting the card over I added a different designer paper and used striped ribbon instead. This card uses the new Stampin' Up! stamp set "Thoughts & Prayers" I love this new set and am having a lot of fun playing around with it. The set has two image stamps, this one and another one of a very interesting tree but the words are the best part. They are all fabulous, a must have for the Christian stamper and my first choice out of the newest catalog. What I used: Thoughts & Prayers stamp set Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss card sto

guilty of neglect...

I am once again guilty of neglect. I am in the middle of several projects as well as it being Stampin' Up!s biggest special of the year Sale-a-bration. If you have been following me for a while you probably remember when I bored you to tears with my goals for the year. One of those goals is to send out stuff this year for publication, so that is what I have been working my butt off on. I sent several things off to SU in January and am about half way through the biggest competition that SU has for demos, the Artisan Award. I also have a couple of projects in the works to send out to actual magazines. So wish me luck and bear with me. I will be back to posting next week and should have several things to show you.
