I am finishing up some half done projects that I started earlier this month and never quite managed to complete.  I have to say that this super simple card turned out exactly how I pictured it.  This is just what I wanted to do with this stamp set ( Our Daily Bread Designs; Butterfly Corner ) the first time I laid eyes on it. I had planned on adding a die cut butterfly on top but I think I will leave it just as it is.  I know it is simple but I kinda like it that way... Good morning all.  It is a bright super cold morning here in central NY.  My sinus headache has finally retreated enough for me to head to my office and finish up some projects I have been working on for the last week or two.  I started this one last Wednesday for the SCS sketch challenge and the Color Throwdown challenge .  I could not manage to get the center panel correct for anything.  This is my third (and final!) attempt at getting it all to work together.  For my card I used Our Daily Bread Designs January stamp set "Faith"  and some of the lovely BG Curio designer paper.  I thought the two were the perfect combination for both the sketch and the soft color combination. Good morning all.  It is the first Tuesday morning of the new year and time for the Papertake Weekly challenge.  This weeks challenge is an easy one, "Anything Goes" with an optional challenge to add a bit of lace. Now I got out my new Grand Caliber again to make this card.  I gotta say that it is one of the easiest machines to use.  No doubt about what plates to use, they are all labelled really clearly.  I zipped my circle, the butterfly and the scalloped layer all through at the same time, EASY.  I also used the ODBD butterfly background embossing plate on the small celery square (tho you can't really see it). our sponsor this week: Make sure you pop over to the  team blog  and play along with us.
