I am finishing up some half done projects that I started earlier this month and never quite managed to complete.  I have to say that this super simple card turned out exactly how I pictured it.  This is just what I wanted to do with this stamp set ( Our Daily Bread Designs; Butterfly Corner ) the first time I laid eyes on it. I had planned on adding a die cut butterfly on top but I think I will leave it just as it is.  I know it is simple but I kinda like it that way... What I used: Our Daily Bread Designs Butterfly Corner GP white, SU basic black and marigold morning  Memento black, Versafine black, Versamagic night sky chalk ink clear embossing powder SU black brads and grosgrain ribbon sponge Copic markers

back to work...

Good morning all.  It is a bright super cold morning here in central NY.  My sinus headache has finally retreated enough for me to head to my office and finish up some projects I have been working on for the last week or two.  I started this one last Wednesday for the SCS sketch challenge and the Color Throwdown challenge .  I could not manage to get the center panel correct for anything.  This is my third (and final!) attempt at getting it all to work together.  For my card I used Our Daily Bread Designs January stamp set "Faith"  and some of the lovely BG Curio designer paper.  I thought the two were the perfect combination for both the sketch and the soft color combination. What I used: Our Daily Bread Designs Faith SU crumb cake, pear pizzazz, blushing bride, early espresso Basic Grey Curio designer paper Versafine black ink pad SU crumb cake, pear pizzazz ink pad clear embossing powder Sizzix embossing folder sponge dark brown satin ribbon

Well enough boring chit chat what you stopped in for today is the Papertake Weekly challenge.  This weeks challenge is "ribbons and pearls".  So grab your pretties and play along with us. our sponsor this week: Make sure you pop over to the  team blog  and play along with us. Good morning all.  It is the first Tuesday morning of the new year and time for the Papertake Weekly challenge.  This weeks challenge is an easy one, "Anything Goes" with an optional challenge to add a bit of lace. Now I got out my new Grand Caliber again to make this card.  I gotta say that it is one of the easiest machines to use.  No doubt about what plates to use, they are all labelled really clearly.  I zipped my circle, the butterfly and the scalloped layer all through at the same time, EASY.  I also used the ODBD butterfly background embossing plate on the small celery square (tho you can't really see it). our sponsor this week: Make sure you pop over to the  team blog  and play along with us. Check out what the rest of the team has done and show them some love. Our Daily Bread Designs January blog hop...

Image
Hello everyone!  Welcome to the January Our Daily Bread Designs new release "Taking a Leap of Faith" blog hop!  If you arrived here from Grace's blog "Th-INK-ing of You" you are in the right place. If you just popped in you really want to go to the Our Daily Bread Designs blog and start the hop at the beginning.  Our hop will run thru January 2nd at 8:00pm so make sure you get through the hop and post on the ODBD blog before then.  Kelley is providing 5 fabulous prizes that are hidden on various blogs through out the hop, so make sure you comment on each one then go back and answer the question "What are your New Years resolutions or steps of faith you plan to take in 2011?" on the ODBD blog . My card is a good reminder to me.  I need to learn to rely more on faith and spend less time worrying.  I am by nature a planner.  I make lists, I make plans, I set goals and I worry BUT I need to remember who is in control... Now it is time for you to hop o
