papertake sketch challenge...

My crazy life triumphs again and I am late with my post, sigh...

Hopefully you find my card well worth waiting for!  This simple little card is for this weeks Papertake Weekly challenge.  This weeks challenge is a sketch from our own Dawny P.  I turned the sketch on it's side so that I could use it to give you a little sneak peek of The Mighty Sea stamp set that will be released by Our Daily Bread Designs tomorrow.

Good morning all!  It is Tuesday again and time once again for another Papertake Weekly challenge.  This weeks challenge is to add a highlight to your image using something like glitter, glossy accents or decoupage.  Very hard to see in this photo, and I had no good light to take another, but I added gloss with a glaze pen to my guys helmet and his cleats.  Why don't you join us and play along?

WINTER...

Good morning all!  Once again it is time for another Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light challenge.  This week the team challenges you to create a card or project using three items, tools or embellishments beginning with three of the letters in the word "W-I-N-T-E-R-"

Example:
W- White, watercolor, etc.
I- Ink
N- Nestabilities,
T-triangles, trees
E- Embossing
R-Ribbon, ripping, red

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize, $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for thprize must be submitted by Friday, January 20th at 8 a.m. EST. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday. If you are not using ODBD stamps, please do not enter more than once. Additional entries without using ODBD stamps will not be commented on or will they qualify for prizes.

While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them.As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Light Award. Inorder to qualify for this award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by Friday, January 20th at 8 a.m. EST. If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword is ODBDSLC92. When creating your posts on blogs please include a link to the challenge.

Shining the Light Challenge...

Happy Saturday All!!  I hope you are all having a great weekend!!
Today I am popping in to share the first challenge of the New Year at the Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light challenge!!

This Week's Challenge-

"In with the new....out with the Old"

The team challenges you to create a card using something new and something old on your card.

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize, $15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for thprize must be submitted by Friday, January 13th at 8 a.m. EST. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday. If you are not using ODBD stamps, please do not enter more than once. Additional entries without using ODBD stamps will not be commented on or will they qualify for prizes.

Now on to my take for the challenge:

My new items are the stamp set Never Give up and it's matching Cross image and die as well as the designer paper.  My old items are my all time favorite colors, old distressing techniques and the ribbon.

happy new year and anything goes...

Good morning all and happy new year!  Being Tuesday morning it is once again time for another Papertake Weekly challenge.  This weeks challenge is "Anything Goes" with the added option of something new.  Your new can be a card for a new baby, new home, anything new or just some new goodies from our stash.  For my card I used some fun new paper (Basic Grey Oxford) from my stash and my current new favorite stamp set "Simple Things" from Our Daily Bread Designs
