Morning Glories make me dream of summer...

When I first saw the new catalog I was thrilled to see a bunch of new sets that just cry out to be watercolored. I know that watercoloring isn't everyones favorite but I just love it. So when I put in my first order this set was one of the first things I had to have. The weather has been miserable here the last couple of days, rain, snow, freezing rain, everything is wet and slippery. And I am dreaming of summer. Every year my morning glories, planted along the edge of the garage, come back. I started them from one of those free packets of seed that someone gave out and every spring I go out, shake the old vines before I tear them down, rake the soil a little bit and don't they just come right back. They are so beautiful.

What I used:
Morning Soft stamp set, Canvas background, Sanded background
Brocade Blue, Chocolate Chip, Naturals White card stock
Watercolor paper, Bashful Blue prints designer paper (level 1 hostess)
Black Stazon, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Creamy Caramel
Watercolor Wonder Crayons, aquapainter
Brocade Blue wide grosgrain ribbon
sponge

This is beautiful. I planted morning glories in two of the houses I lived in--but I hate leaving them so I don't any more--but the still bring back happy memories.

Your watercoloring is BEAUTIFUL!! I love the shading in the blossoms and the leaves.

I have a question--did you mask the sanded on the main image or just stamp it first. I am curious because it looks wonderful and a bit darker around the edges.

Beautiful card!!!
