recycle....

Image
Todays Elzybell design team challenge was "recycle" , how we defined that was up to us. I took the easy way and recycled a couple of images that I had sitting on my desk, left over from the creation of my sneak peeks. All of the designer paper and card stock, other then the card base were from my scrap stash. I was so glad to find a way to use the "Learnt Fishing" words on vellum in this design. I just couldn't seem to fit them in on the last card, so I had set them aside to use later, which turned out to be today. What I used: Elzybell Art Stamps Fishing Ted and Learnt Fishing Riding Hood Red and Whisper White card stock My Mind's Eye designer paper (I think, it was in my scraps) vellum basic black classic stamp pad Lyra colored pencils, OMS, stump Make sure you check out what Elizabeth and the rest of the team has done: Angel Riveria Charlene Austin Elizabeth Frances Byrne Jeanne Streiff Kim Fee Maria Adams Michelle Short Rachel Hope Baird Stephanie M

It's new release day!

Today is the day! New stamps day! Hop on over to the Elzybell Store and check out what Elizabeth has new. While you are there make sure to check out the special she has on Koh-i-noor woodless pencils. I don't have them yet but I have seen some fabulous results with them. Elizabeth did a couple of wonderful coloring tutorials earlier, the first one is here and the second one here , make sure you check them out. Here is the card I wanted to show you for today. I used the DIY (do it yourself) Ted and Man's World Multi. I stamped the Multi stamp 3 times to get my background strip. Ted is colored with prismacolor pencils and blended with odorless mineral spirits. day three sneak peek...

Tomorrow is the new release of the latest Elzybell Art Stamps. Have you liked what you have seen so far? Hopefully todays card will make up for yesterdays rather vivid colors. I love this fishing ted. He is so adorable and has a fabulous set of related fishing words that I just couldn't seem to fit into my design. Will have to make another card at a later date that includes them because I wanted to use todays sketch challenge sketch from SplitCoastStampers. I hope you like what you see and make sure you stop back tomorrow to see what else I have to share with you. What I used: Elzybell Art Stamps Fishing Ted Baja Breeze, Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White card stock My Minds Eye designer paper basic black classic ink pad Certainly Celery wide grosgrain ribbon Prismacolor pencils, OMS and blending stump Make sure you check out what Elizabeth and the rest of the design team have done: Angel Riveria Charlene Austin Elizabeth Frances Byrne Jeanne Streiff Kim Fee Mar

another sneak peek...

Today is the second day of our sneak peeks. I decided to do todays color challenge on SplitCoastStampers (Only Orange, Rose Red and Brilliant Blue) and use snoozin' ted to make a fathers day card. I paper pieced the main image and managed to find designer paper that had part of the color combination in it. Not easy colors for me to work with since I am Bold Bright challenged but I am mostly satisfied with the result. Make sure you stop back tomorrow to see what else I have to show you. What I use: Elzybells Art Stamps Snoozing Ted, Stampin' Up! it's Elzybell sneak peek time again...

Hey everybody it is almost time for another Elzybell new release. This is one of the stamps that will be available on Thursday. Footie Ted is a fun image. I plan to use this card for a birthday of one of my children's friends who is an avid soccer player. (as we call it in the states, not to be confused with football which my family is avid fans and players of. Does anyone know why we call football, soccer? And what does the rest of the world call what we call football? Just wondering.) Make sure you stop back tomorrow to see what else is coming up! What I used: Elzybell Art Stamps Footie Ted and Mini Tag Set Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze, Close to Cocoa, Whisper White My Minds Eye Bohemia designer paper brads (sorry haven't a clue where I got them) Make sure you check out what the rest of the design team and Elizabeth have created today: Angel Riveria Charlene Austin Elizabeth Frances Byrne Jeanne Streiff Kim Fee Maria Adams Michelle Short Paula Williamson Rachel Hope Ba

last months big shot class...

Image
I don't have anything new to share but want to show you the cards I used in March for my Big Shot class. I didn't realize that I hadn't shared them yet. Each card using a different type of Big Shot plate or die. The first card, which uses the Branched Out stamp set, has a subtle diamond background created using the Stampin' Up! Backgrounds 1 texturz plates. This second card uses the Manhattan Flower Textured Impressions Die, on vellum. The textured impressions die is very similar to the Cuttlebug embossing folders that you may already be familiar with but the folder is much bigger so you can do an entire card front. I am hoping we see a lot more of these in the new catalog in July. This last card uses both the Top Note and the Beautiful Butterflies dies both of which are Stampin' Up! exclusive made for us by Sizzix.

lack of mojo...

Image
I fear I have been once again suffering from a lack of mojo. I have no idea why. The time has been available to me but I have failed to take advantage of the opportunity. I have quite literally had the new designer paper, stamp set and punch that I used today for the last month and hadn't even OPENED them! Haven't a clue of what my problem is. Anyway, I forced myself into the office today. Pulled out todays sketch challenge and jumped in. Have to confess that I am not loving this but that is probably mostly my negative attitude. Hope you like it. I am now off to work off my ugly mood doing housework. What I used: Oval All Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White card stock Walk in the Park designer paper Chocolate Chip classic ink pad Stampin' Write markers Large Oval punch, Scallop Oval punch, Scallop edge punch wide Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon
