Our Daily Bread Designs March blog hop...
Hello and welcome to another Our Daily Bread Designs Blog Hop. You are so going to love the new March release!
If you arrived here from Dawn's blog; Dawn A New Day, you are in the right place. If not you really, really want to start at the beginning by hopping over to the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog so as to not miss anything. We are having a Special Message Hop, and along the way you will be collecting Secret Words and you will want them in the correct order.
You will have until Tuesday at 8:00 PM EST to complete the requirements to be eligible to win.
There will be two blessed winners who will each receive a $15.00 Gift Certificate to the Our Daily Bread Designs Store to go toward the stamps of your choice. Winners will be randomly chosen from all the qualified entries and the announcement will be made on Wednesday, March 3rd on the ODBD Blog.
Here is what you need to do to be eligible to win:
- 1. Hop from blog to blog in the order given below, writing down the secret words you will find clearly written in their posts, and leaving a comment on each blog.
- 2. Return to the ODBD Blog and leave a comment that you completed the hop and left comments for each designer.
- 3. Email Grace at: gnywening@yahoo.com
In the email, give her the secret words you found in order .... they will spell out a special message from the Our Daily Bread designs Design Team to you!
Remember if for any reason a link does not work you can return to the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog to see who is next on the list.
And now onto my project! So what do you think? I totally love this set! It is called The Lord Has Risen. Aren't the violets beautiful? I have a soft spot in my heart for violets. Growing up my Grandmother, and then my Mother and Uncle grew the most amazing ones. I apparently have a black thumb and regularly kill house plants with a bit of help from my cats but I remember as a child digging up tiny ones out of the yard and planting them next to the house and being thrilled every year as they returned.
For my card I stamped my flowers on white card stock, colored the images with Copic markers, cut them out and then sprayed them with a lot of Glimmer Mist. After they dried I layer them together. I like cutting them out before I spray them because it makes the edges curl a bit, which I think adds dimension. My verse is stamped on vanilla card stock then embossed. I added a fun flower border with a Martha Stewart punch and a bit of purple polka dotted ribbon.
A couple of things before you go. I want to tell you about some really exciting stuff that we have planned for this month! March 17th is Our Daily Bread Designs 2nd anniversary and we are celebrating! Be sure you visit the ODBD Blog on Sunday, March 7th! There we will be announcing a bunch of fun challenges that will run March 13th through the 16th. We are giving you a week to prepare. Then beginning on Saturday, March 13th, a different challenge will be announced everyday and best of all there will be prizes every single day! Then on March 17th we will have another Blog Hop! to reveal the Special Edition Anniversary Release! Make sure you are there!

Your blog is awesome! I love how you described your history with violets and your family. I too, fell in love with them because my grandmother planted and grew the most amazing violets!
Your card is just as amazing as my grandmother's plants! I love the dp, and the dotted bow...the violets are so beautifully done. Their leaves look so real, also.
This is one of my favorites for this hop. Thank you for stirring the memories and showing such a fab piece!
