winter playtime...

Hello all!  Winter is on us with a vengeance here in Central New York.  A little over 10 days ago we had had no snow yet for the season, then we got blasted.  Four feet of snow in four days and it hasn't stopped for more then a day at a time since.  With snow totals someplace in the 60" region you can image that I have been a bit distracted.  So much extra time has been spent shoveling or driving or obsessing over having to drive in the snow that I haven't had much play time at all lately.  Since I had a short day at work today, and a stress free drive home courtesy of my hubby I thought I would indulge in a bit of crafty play time this evening.  I am super excited that I managed to actually get two cards done.  The first card I made using Our Daily Bread Designs Blessings and some lovely Basic Grey Curio designer paper.  I made it for the SplitCoastStampers sketch challenge and this weeks Color Throwdown Challenge.
My second card uses Our Daily Bread Designs Christmas Blessings and Basic Grey Jovial designer paper as well as a couple of my favorite Spellbinders dies.  I did this card for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge to make an encouraging card and for this weeks CPS sketch challenge though the sketch got a little twisted along the way.
What I used:
Our Daily Bread Designs: Blessings and Christmas Blessings
SU riding hood red, chocolate chip, kraft, pear pizzazz, bermuda bay, confetti white
Versafine Black, various Ranger Distress inks for sponging
SU ribbon
sponges
Spare Parts red brads
