easter blessings...

Hello all.  Today is my last day of vacationing someplace warm with my girlfriends but I have a little something to share with you.  Before I get into the details of my card I wanna let you know about a bit of fun-ness that Our Daily Bread Designs has coming up very, very soon.  ODBD will be celebrating it's second birthday on the 17th and we all sorts of exciting things going on from March 13th through the 17th.  We will start on the 13th with daily challenges and several members of the team will have blog candy every day!  We will wind up the celebration with the release of some new stamps and a blog hop. All the details should be posted on the Our Daily Bread Design blog, go check it out because we would love to have you play along.

Now lets talk about my card.  The entire color palette was inspired by this gorgeous paper I have had in my stash for what feels like FOREVER!  It is from the DCWV Old World pack and it has such yummy colors and texture, no idea why it is still sitting there.  Probably because I have so much paper I don't even know what I have.  I embossed and colored the Lilies of the Valley from ODBD newest set Easter Blessings.  I then cut them out very, very carefully and arranged them around the verse.  In real life the bow matches perfectly but for some odd reason the color photographs off, no matter how much I play with it.

What I used:
ODBD Easter Blessings
SU white, black, mellow moss, sahara sand, always artichoke card stock
DCWV Old World designer paper
Versafine black stamp pad, markers
clear embossing powder
oval Nestabilities
EKSuccess wavy edge punch
SU rich regal brads, silver jumbo brad
