Since I have been in a simple kinda card mood lately I decided to make two fairly quick and easy cards to share with you today. On the first one I used one of the smallest stamps from the Birds & Butterfly labels set as a little medallion and a scripture from Scripture Collections 5. I cut out the medallion using my Grand Caliber and the Spellbinders labels 18 set which perfectly coordinates. Basic Grey's Marjolaine designer paper went perfectly with some fun ribbon I picked up last week.
For my second card I went all manly with the Birch background and the Father's Day set. Now my dad loves Moose and I know that I will be making his father's day card with this set for sure! Once again I went for simple. Simple, easy straight stamping, a bit of sponging, a scrap of ribbon and some brads. My moose cut out with Spellbinders classic circles and layered on the ODBD fancy ovals.
Now you need to hop on over to visit Angie and see what loveliness she has to share with you today.
What I used:
Our Daily Bread Designs Father's Day, Birch background, Birds & Butterflies labels, Scripture Collection 5
SU whisper white, basic black, old olive, crumb cake, soft suede card stock
Basic Grey Marjolaine designer paper
Versafine black, Ranger brushed corduroy, SU baja breeze ink pads
Grand Caliber, Spellbinders classic circle, ODBD fancy oval, labels 18
Sizzix embossing folder
SU and Michael's ribbon, SU brass brads, Recollections black glitter brads
sponge

Thanks for lighting that fire under me.

I love both of your cards! Moose are favorties of mine but I generally use them only in December. It's lovely to see your moose on a Fathers Day Card.
I especially love your first card too. One of my favorite Psalms and it is perfect with the Birds and Butterfly stamp!

Thank you for sharing your ideas. I loved the ribbon on the first card. I also enjoyed the simplicity of both cards. I like the new bird and butterfly stamps; simple, but elegant.

Thanks for sharing! :)
Two fabulous cards. I love the classic lines and colors of the first card and all the texture of the second.

p.s I love your quote at the bottom of your blog
You did a wonderful job with the birch background and couldn't have shown it off better - love it!

The second card is such a wonderful nature lover's card...and masculine card! I really like the image alone with the trees next to it! That is beautiful with the label behind the moose. The Embossing Folder worked lovely...wish I knew which one it was. This whole card is a delight!
Thank you for sharing them!
