Acetate Card

Upfront I need to apologize for the poor quality of todays photo. The kids were home for the holiday today so all the natural daylight was gone before I had time to take this picture. Because the card body is transparent it either disappears into the background or has a glare. Hopefully this is enough to give you a rough idea of what an acetate card looks like.

I have admired the acetate cards over on Splitcoast for ages but I have never taken the time, before now to do one. (See why doing the daily challenges is such a good thing?) The card body is made from half a sheet of transparencies like you use in an over head projector, that I purchased at Walmart. They are available at any office supply store. I stamped the swirls (from Baroque Motifs) with white Stazon ink. You need a quick drying permanent ink like Stazon to stamp on acetate. The verse (from Elegant Inspirations) is stamped in Basic Black on Whisper White then layered on Basic Black and Purely Pomegranate. The medallion (also from Baroque Motifs) was stamped first in basic black and cut out then second in purely pomegranate. Both were cut out, layered together then embellished with a black vintage brad. I attached the verse to the acetate with a small glue dot and the medallion with a dimensional. I tied the black gingham ribbon around the card and added a touch of double stitched purely pomegranate double stitched ribbon.
