bellarific friday, twinchies...

Here is my story. I thought that it would be a really, really good idea to combine this weeks Bellarific challenge with the Taylored Expressions sketch challenge. The sketch would work really well with a 2 inch square (twinchie), which is the Bella challenge. So I grabbed what I thought was my smallest Bella image, picked out my designer paper, what I was using for embellishments and sat down to color my image with my trusty Prismacolor pencils. Now because I am a mom, I am multi-tasking while I am coloring, kind of a given if I am crafting in the evening. Had to work during the day so no child free time that day. I was helping Jessika with homework and keeping Manny from torturing Ellie, or visa versa, not sure which it was and watching a movie with Daniel, since when a teenager actually asks you to spend time in the same room with them you had better do it, even if you do have better things to do then watch Pirates of the Caribbean for the 50th time. So I finish coloring, slap the card together, go to photograph it and STOP, Oh no! That isn't a 2 inch square. **sigh**
Well it was a pretty decent card, so it is worth sharing and it still works for the Taylored Expressions sketch challenge but back to the drawing board for the Bella challenge. By this time I have the 3 little ones in bed and other then the fact that I am trying to pretend that there isn't a mountain of laundry sitting on the couch waiting for me to fold it, I am determined to get the Bella challenge done before bed. So off to my stamp stash, with a ruler in hand this time, to find the perfect image. Finally found that my little turtle tot birthday image would work, and I always need more birthday cards, so off to color him up. Now since I still had pieces of the lovely designer paper that I used for the first card still sitting on my desk that is what I used. And this time it worked! So what do ya think?
What I used:
Stamping Bella, Ketto and Turtle Tots
SU Full of Life
GP white, baja breeze and old olive card stock
My Mind's Eye Colorful Christmas (yes I know it isn't Christmas anymore but the paper was on the clearance rack and if I didn't have to tell you what it is you would never, ever know it was supposed to be Christmas, LOL)
Memento black stamp pad
Prismacolor pencils, OMS, blending stump
white gel, glitter pen, gloss pen
baja breeze and old olive ribbon
buttons for Grandma's button box
