embracing groovy guava...

Image
Goodbye Groovy Guava. Now I gotta say that it was not love at first site for me with groovy guava but over the last year it has grown on me. Combining it with chocolate chip is the best combination in my opinion. I really will miss this years In Colors but the new colors will be making their way across the country to me soon and I will be loving some new colors soon. I was lacking a little mojo this morning, it is going to really hot today and I spent most of my evening last night on the phone. All the issues from the various phone calls kept chasing me around in my sleep, which doesn't make for a restful night of sleep. When I lack mojo the first place I turn is to the various sketch challenges. Today I used Julee Tilman's Mojo Monday sketch found here . She has fabulous sketches every week. embracing life on this beautiful spring day...

Image
I don't know about where you are but here it is a beautiful spring day. Not a cloud in the sky, mid sixties with a light breeze. As far as I am concerned it doesn't get to much better then that. I dashed off this card rather quickly this morning because my son Daniel had a Lacrosse game. They lost, badly I might add but at least I wasn't freezing my butt off sitting in the bleachers. I did this card to satisfy a couple of challenges. These colors really appealed to me. I am not real big on "peachy, pinkie" colors but I really like them with the basic gray. I embossed the flowers with silver (yes, I know it looks gold in the picture but my camera is messed up) embossing powder then sponged groovy guava to darken the edges. Only the bottom layer and the second layer on the main image is actually designer paper. The middle strip and the back ground of the main image are stamped with groovy guava on blush blossom card stock then sponged with groovy guava. What...

Embracing the new catalog!

Image
My new toys have arrived! I have to admit that December seems an odd time for me to be getting new toys since this time of year is all about the kids but this time it was my turn. With the release of the new Spring/Summer Stampin' Up! catalog literally only a couple of weeks away my preorder from the new catalog has arrived. I have to say that having new stamp sets before most everyone else is my favorite perk of being a demonstrator but I am nice and will share with you what I have gotten. This card is made with the new stamp set Embrace Life, which I have to say is my favorite of the new stuff I have seen. I am very sure that you will be seeing a lot of it in the future. I also used the new Bali Breeze designer paper. I have to admit that at first glance in the preview catalog I wasn't sure that I was going to love this paper but now that I have seen it in real life, I really like it and it goes wonderfully with this stamp set.
