May Day Our Daily Bread Designs blog hop...
Good morning all. Welcome to the May Day Our Daily Bread Designs blog hop. If you arrived here from Randi's blog A New Creation then you are in the right place. If you just popped in from somewhere else you may want to go to the Our Daily Bread Designs blog to start at the beginning. Grace has all the rules posted there, which you need to know and besides you don't want to miss any of the good stuff everyone has posted. The hop will last from May 1st through the 3rd at 8:00 PM EST.
In New England it used to be a custom that on May first, people would make "May Baskets" for neighbors and friends, filling them with flowers or other little gifts, and then go hang them on their doorknob, knock or ring the bell, and run and hide until they had found their basket. It was such a fun "giving" tradition! Some still carry on this tradition, and others are trying to revive it. So for our hop, we are going to collect flowers from each designer to fill our May basket!
For my card I stamped the bridge image from For the Graduate on white card stock and colored the image with Copic markers. I added a touch of Flower Soft to accent the flowers. Then layered it all on some lovely 7 Gypsies designer paper and added a navy organdy ribbon bow.Julie Warner has to share with you on her blog "The Write Stuff". But before you go here is the flower I am giving to you:
What I used:
Our Daily Bread Designs For the Graduate
GP white, SU night of navy and creamy caramel
7 Gypsies Nottinghill designer paper
Memento Tuxedo Black
heather Flower Soft
American Craft navy organdy ribbon
What did we do without flower soft.
Thank you for sharing your lovely card.
Thank you for sharing.
What did we do before copic markers and flower soft? Your card is beautiful and so serene. Love this stamp and all of the new ones!!! Thank you for sharing and thank you for the violets. Have a great weekend.
Lovely violets :D.
Thanks for the inspiration
Very nice card. I liked the idea of the bridge for a Graduation card.
