Good morning all.  This weeks Papertake Weekly challenge is to make a card that isn't just a card because we all need a card to tuck a little something into for that special someone.

What feels like a million years ago I started this blog to showcase my cards and scrapbook pages. Then life with 5 kids, work and exhaustion left little time for creativity or blogging.  Things are a little different now of course, the baby is heading off to college in the fall, I’m retiring in about 10 weeks, and Jeff and I are looking forward to time for us. But there are things I need to address first. The past year, living through a global pandemic and all its difficulties, has thrown a huge spotlight on what a hot mess I truly am.  I’ve been dealing with autoimmune issues since my 20s. Now in my 50s my weight has crept up, my heart has been affected as well my mobility and the sadness can be overwhelming.  So I’m on a mission to wade through the darkness, simplify my life and rediscover the person I was born to be.

For my project I used the set "The Babe" which contains one of the sweetest baby Jesus images I have ever seen.  My image was colored with Copic markers, cut out with spellbinder dies then layered on BoBunny Snowfall designer paper.  My embellishments are simple just some big brads and the last bit of some ribbon I recycled. September Our Daily Bread Designs new release blog hop

Good morning all.  I am very excited this morning to have a part in showing you the new release from Our Daily Bread Designs .  If you arrived here from Angie's blog you are in the right place.  If not you may want to hop on over to the Our Daily Bread Designs blog to start the hop at the beginning.  There you will also find all the details about the hop and what you need to do to qualify for one of the prizes. On my card I used the new set Be Joyful .  Once again, as I usually do, I went for simple because I wanted the verse to shine through.  I stamped the verse, masked it then stamped and sponged around the verse, after that I just layered it on some yummy BoBunny paper.  Simple... now pop on over and visit with  Chris   and see what loveliness she has to share with you What I used: Our Daily Bread Designs Be Joyful SU whisper white, crumb cake, basic black Prima Reflections Versafine black, SU crumb cake, Ranger antique linen clear embossing powder
