Our Daily Bread Designs October new release blog hop...
Welcome to the Our Daily Bread Designs October new release blog hop. If you just arrived from Lorelie's blog you're in the right place. Make sure you read all the way to the bottom to find out where you should go next. If you just popped in from somewhere else you really should go to the Our Daily Bread Designs blog and start the hop at the beginning, there are prizes involved and you don't want to miss out... Three of the design team members (and we don't know who yet) will be giving out a prize to someone who comments on their blog. To win you need to
1. visit and comment on each blog on the hop
2. return to the ODBD blog, tell us that you have commented on all the blogs and tell us what you like best about the new sets
before 6:00 PM EST Friday, October 2nd. Then make sure you stop back Saturday morning, on the ODBD website to see if you have won!
Now do you want to see what I made for the hop?
What I used:
Our Daily Bread Designs With Deepest Sympathy and Praying for You
soft suede, blue bayou card stock
My Mind's Eye Bella, Bella designer paper
watercolor paper
soft suede classic stamp pad
sponge
stampin' write markers, aquapainter
blue bayou double stitched ribbon
What do you think? I so love this image and it was a lot of fun to color. This card was actually inspired by two different challenges; the Mojo Monday sketch challenge and the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge. Below is the Mojo Monday sketch:
The Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge was to make a card letting someone know that you are thinking of them or praying for them.
I colored the image using markers on watercolor paper and blended with an aquapainter. I love the bright vivid colors you get using this method. Most of the edges of the card stock and designer papers are sponged with soft suede ink, the ribbon as well since the white stitching was just a little to bright.
Now it is time for me to send you on your way, first to Betty's blog then from there you will go to Silke's blog. Have a blessed day!
